MAP (Migration to Asia Peace) is hosting “Refugee Living Library” events in Seoul and Jeju Island to mark World Refugee Day on June 20, 2022. Refugees living in Korea will become “human books” and share their own stories directly with you.

Visual arts activist Jeram will also be taking part, and MAP director Kim Young-ah will provide consecutive interpretation throughout.


Seoul Event

  • Date: Monday, June 20, 2022

  • Format: Human-book talk

In Seoul, three human books will share their stories: Kim Min-hyuk, Eden, and Rostami Reza. Attendees can listen as they would read a book and chat freely with the speakers.


Jeju Events

Events run across three days, Sunday June 19 to Tuesday June 21, at two venues on Jeju Island. Three human books will take part: Mununu Justin, Yasmin, and Majun. Programs are tailored for different age groups, including children, teenagers, and adults.
