Migration to Asia Peace (MAP) and Good Samaritan House have run a scholarship program since 2021 to support refugees’ higher education and vocational training. The 18th round selects vocational training scholars.

Field and eligibility
- Field: vocational training
- Age (required): refugee youth aged 14 to 39 (recognized refugees, humanitarian status holders, refugee applicants, and youth with a refugee background)
- Korean (required): KIIP level 3 or higher, TOPIK level 2 or higher, or at least 2 years at a school taught in Korean
Selection schedule
- Documents: 15 to 29 September
- Document screening results: 29 September (individual contact)
- Interviews for those who pass: 6 October
- Final results: 7 October (individual contact)

Required activities for scholars
- 13 October: scholarship ceremony and orientation
- One volunteer activity during the scholarship period
- January 2027: evaluation
What the scholarship offers
- Scholarship period: October 2026 to January 2027
- Scholarship: up to KRW 2,500,000 over 3 months
- Information and coaching: planning how to use the scholarship, finding vocational training and checking requirements, a Korean study guide for vocational training, news of new programs for refugee youth
- Career counseling: workshops on cover letters and CVs, career planning
- Shelter referral and psychological counseling if needed
- Chances to meet other scholars
