‘Korean for Everyone’ (모두의 한국어) is a free online Korean learning system run by the Ministry of Education and the Korea Education and Research Information Service (한국교육학술정보원). It was originally built for migrant-background students who attend school, but from 9 April 2026 the Ministry of Education widened the range of institutions and learners who can use it. Migrant-background children, youth, and adults who do not attend school can now use it too.

Who can use it

  • Migrant-background students who attend school: use it through their school or the office of education.
  • Out-of-school migrant-background children, youth, and adults: when an institution run by a local government, such as a Family Center (formerly Multicultural Family Support Center), a Foreign Resident Support Center (외국인주민지원센터), or a Global Youth Center (글로벌청소년센터), registers with ‘Korean for Everyone’ as an institutional member, student accounts can be created through that institution.

Children and adults in families of asylum seekers, recognized refugees, and humanitarian stay holders can also ask the school they attend or the center they use whether it can issue an account. Not every center is registered, so you need to check first whether the institution you use is registered.

Because it is an online system, if you have an account you can study on a computer or mobile phone at home as well as at school.

General members aged 14 and over

Personalized content recommendations, learning records, the AI tutor, Korean quizzes, and vocabulary lists were originally available only to student members. With this update, general members aged 14 and over can also use these features.

‘Korean for Everyone’ uses an Edunet account. Press Log in at the top right of the home page to open the login window; pressing Sign up there takes you to the Edunet sign-up page. The login window says that users outside Korea should use social login (Naver, Google, Kakao).

Plan to open to everyone

The Ministry of Education plans to simplify the sign-up verification process and open the system fully in December 2026 so that all learners in Korea and abroad can sign up. The system is not yet fully open, so you need to check first how to get an account through an institution or what the membership conditions are.
