MAP (Migration to Asia Peace) is looking for volunteer teachers to lead basic Korean literacy classes for refugees living in Korea at the We Peace Korean Language School. Through Korean language education, you will help refugees understand their rights and settle comfortably into life in Korean society.

Recruitment Overview

  • Role type: Volunteer (unpaid)
  • Class format: Online (using video conferencing tools such as Zoom)
  • Schedule: September, December 2024, 15 weeks total
  • Frequency: Once a week, 2 hours per session

Eligibility

  • Refugees currently living in Korea
  • Able to teach basic Korean literacy classes online according to the schedule above

What You Will Receive

  • Certificate of Korean language teaching experience
  • Volunteer activity confirmation letter
  • Teaching materials needed for class (textbooks, microphone, webcam, etc.)
  • Training of Trainers (TOT) support if needed, including:
  • Introduction to useful Zoom features for online teaching
  • Opportunities to observe fellow teachers’ classes
  • Feedback on your teaching from fellow teachers
