The Gyeonggi Migrant Portal (경기도 이주민 포털) is a Gyeonggi Province online service where migrants can find the information they need on daily life, administration, jobs, education, healthcare, and welfare in one place. Gyeonggi Province has been officially running the portal since 8 July 2026. It has a generative artificial intelligence (AI) chatbot and automatic translation into several languages, so you can use it even if you are not comfortable with Korean. The screen adjusts to fit mobile phones and tablets as well as computers.

- SOS 직원상담 (SOS staff counseling): talk to a counselor.
- 상담하기 (Start) under AI 챗봇상담 (AI chatbot counseling): opens the AI chatbot.
- 병원 (Hospital, find hospitals near me): find nearby hospitals on the life map.
- 지원센터 (Support center, find regional migrant support centers): find migrant support centers by region.
- 비자 (Visa, find immigration offices near me): find the nearest immigration office. The maps in 3 and 5 work after you log in.
Main features
AI chatbot counseling
Choose your language from the Language menu at the top right, then type your question to the AI chatbot to get an answer 24 hours a day. You can ask questions such as what types of visas there are and how to change them, how to get a Residence Card (Alien Registration Card), and how to file a Move-in Report. Next to the input box there are ‘Frequently asked questions’ sorted by field (visa, labor, healthcare, daily life, education, children), so you can look at those first. You can use it at night or on weekends when it is hard to reach a counselor. When you first open the chatbot, a notice on things to check before using the AI chatbot appears. You need to read it and tick the agreement box before you can type a question.

- Press Language at the top right to open the list of languages.
- The list has 13 languages, including Korean, English, Chinese, Vietnamese and Russian. Choose one and the portal switches to that language.
- For a language that is not on the list, press Global to view the portal through Google Translate.

- The chatbot window first shows AI 챗봇 이용 전 확인사항 (Things to check before using the AI chatbot). It says answers can be wrong and asks you not to enter personal information.
- Read it and tick 유의사항에 대한 내용을 모두 확인하였으며, 위 내용에 동의합니다. (I have read all the notes and agree to the above).
- Press 확인 (Confirm) and you can type your question.

- Labor problems: unpaid wages, unfair dismissal, industrial accidents, severance pay
- Residence and visas: visa extension, change of status of stay, immigration problems
- Daily life and legal matters: housing lease contracts, fraud, divorce and domestic violence, medical support
- Other difficulties: discrimination and hardships you face living in Korea

- 로그인 없이 전화상담하기 (외국어 지원) (Phone counseling without logging in, foreign languages supported): call 1661-0222 without logging in.
- 로그인하기 (Log in): after logging in you can leave a written counseling request and receive an answer.
Life map (finding facilities near you)
You can find nearby hospitals, migrant support centers, and immigration offices on a map based on where you are now. You can use it after you log in and agree to the use of location information.
Community
In the regional communities you can see local events and news and share concerns and information about things like childcare and jobs with other migrants. There is also a space for buying and selling used items.
Other services
- Jobs and education: you can see regional education programs (Korean classes, computer classes, skills training, and so on) and job openings at regional centers.
- Information and materials: you can download various application forms and templates migrants need, policy news, and medical materials.
Things to keep in mind
- The AI chatbot’s answers are not always accurate. It may give information that differs from the actual law or policy, so for important matters such as visas, administrative procedures, and legal problems, you need to check again with the responsible agency or official documents.
- It is best not to type personal information such as your passport number, Alien Registration Number, or address into the AI chatbot.
- To find facilities near you on the life map, you must agree to the use of location information. Even if you do not agree, you can still use the portal’s other services.
- According to information MAP received, children under 14 cannot use the portal’s location-based services. You need to check the details with the portal.
