The King Sejong Institute Foundation took applications for the 2026 Online King Sejong Institute term 3 introductory course until 23 August. It suits anyone who wants to study Korean but did not know how to start alone.
What is the Online King Sejong Institute?
It is King Sejong Institute’s free online Korean learning service that you can use on a computer or phone. Lectures are supported in many languages, and you can choose classes for your level, from beginner to advanced. This round was the introductory course for people who are new to Korean.
Course information
- Who: any foreign learner who wants to learn Korean
- Study period: 31 August (Mon) to 4 October (Sun) 2026
- Languages supported: Russian, Vietnamese, Indonesian, Japanese, Thai, Portuguese, French, Korean, Spanish, Arabic, Chinese, English
- How you learn: watch online video lessons, then live video classes (5 in total)
Registration
- Registration period: 10 to 23 August 2026
- You can change course only during the registration period. Cancel your current registration and register again for the course you want within the period.
How to register
- Go to the Online King Sejong Institute website and log in.
- Click “Course enrollment guide”, third on the right.
- Of the lecture, assignment and self-study types, click “Self-study”.
- Choose your level and click “Enroll”.
