The Sungkonghoe University Master of Arts in Inter-Asia NGO Studies (MAINS) is an English-language graduate program focused on civil society, non-governmental organizations (NGOs), and social change across Asia. Not only recognized refugees, but also asylum seekers and humanitarian status holders can apply without changing their immigration status, making this a truly valuable educational opportunity for refugees and migrants living in Korea.

About the Program

MAINS is a practice-oriented graduate program that combines academic study of civil society development and social change across Asia with real-world experience through fieldwork and internships. All courses are taught in English, and students learn from Korea’s own experience of democratization and civil society development within a broader Asian context.

Scholarships

  • International students from Asia receive a full (tuition) scholarship plus a living-cost stipend.
  • Korean students receive a scholarship covering 70% of tuition.
