Migration to Asia Peace (MAP) and Good Samaritan House run a scholarship program to support refugees’ higher education and vocational training. The 17th round selects higher education scholars.
Scholarship period
August 2026 to December 2026
Field and eligibility
- Field: higher education
- Age (required): refugee youth aged 14 to 39
- Enrollment (required): enrolled at a university or graduate school by the application deadline, registering for the second semester of 2026, or holding a (provisional) admission letter
Selection schedule
- Online application: 5 to 22 June 2026 (Google Form)
- Document screening results: 23 June (individual contact)
- Interviews: 26 June and 30 June
- Final results: 30 June (individual contact)
- Scholarship ceremony and orientation: 7 July (individual contact)

Activities for scholars
- July: scholarship ceremony and orientation
- September to November: skills activities (CV and cover letter clinic, interview workshop, etc.)
- One volunteer activity during the scholarship period
- December: evaluation
What the scholarship offers
- Scholarship: up to KRW 2,500,000 during the scholarship period
- Information and coaching: planning how to use the scholarship, advice on university and graduate school life and study, a Korean study guide for classes, news of new programs for refugee youth
- Career support: cover letter and CV workshops, career planning
- Living support: shelter referral and psychological counseling if needed
- Networking: meeting other scholars
