The We Peace Korean Language School was a Korean-language education program run by MAP (Migration to Asia Peace) for refugees. Sadly, MAP has decided to close the school at the end of February 2025.
Why the School Is Closing
MAP came to this decision after concluding that it could not reliably secure enough staff and resources to keep the school running well. Continuing to operate without being able to properly support both teachers and students did not feel right to them.
Korean Language Support Going Forward
The school may be closing, but MAP remains committed to Korean language education for refugees. Rather than running a school, MAP will continue to share Korean-learning information and content through the channels below.

Finding Another Place to Study Korean
If you are looking for somewhere to continue learning Korean after the school closes, here are some options to consider.
- KIIP (Korea Immigration and Integration Program): A free Korean language and Korean society course run by the Ministry of Justice. Immigrants and recognized refugees, among others, can apply.
- Local Multicultural Family Support Centers: These centers exist in cities and regions across the country and offer free Korean language classes.
- Online Learning: You can use Korean-learning content shared through MAP Refugee News and MAP’s Instagram.
Eligibility requirements and application procedures can change, so please check the latest information before applying by contacting the Immigration Contact Center (1345) or your local Korea Immigration Service office.
