The Good Samaritan Scholarship Program, run jointly by Migration to Asia Peace (MAP) and Good Samaritan House, provides financial support and career coaching to help refugee youth and young adults living in Korea continue their studies at university or graduate school. Applications are now open for the 13th cohort for the second half of 2025.
Who Can Apply
- Age: Refugee youth and young adults aged 14 to 39
- Enrollment: Must be planning to enroll in a university or graduate school for the second semester of 2025

What Support You Will Receive
Financial Support
- Up to 2,500,000 KRW (Korean won) during the scholarship period (August, December 2025)
Academic and Life Coaching
- Help planning how to use your scholarship funds
- Information and advice on university and graduate school life and studies
- Korean language learning guidance for university-level coursework
- Ongoing updates about new resources and programs that may be useful to refugee young adults
Career Support
- Workshop on writing personal statements and resumes
- Interview preparation workshop
- Career planning and motivation counseling
Living Support
- Referral to a shelter if needed
- Connection to psychological counseling
Networking
- Opportunities to meet and grow alongside other scholarship recipients
Activities Scholars Participate In
If you are selected, you will take part in the following activities together with other scholars.
- August: Award ceremony and orientation
- September, November: Capacity-building activities (resume and personal statement clinic, interview workshop, and more)
- Once during the scholarship period: Volunteer activity
- December: Evaluation
