The Human Library is a program where people from diverse backgrounds, including refugees, become a “living book” and have open conversations with local community members. By listening to a person’s story the way you might read a book, it helps reduce misunderstandings and prejudice about refugees and builds genuine mutual understanding.
About the Program
This program recruits refugees living in Korea to participate as volunteers. Each participant takes on the role of a “human book,” sharing their personal refugee experiences and perspectives directly with local residents.
