The Refugees as Re-Builders Foundation Course (RRB Foundation Course) is a capacity-building training program run by the UK-based non-profit organization Initiatives of Change UK (IofC UK). It is designed for refugees who want to contribute to their home countries and diaspora communities, giving them practical tools and knowledge to design and lead their own workshops. After completing the Foundation Course, participants can continue into Intermediate and Advanced levels of the curriculum.

Course Goals
This course starts from the experiences and expertise that refugee participants already bring with them. Through the course, you will learn to:
- Identify factors that affect your own livelihood and that of your community
- Design and put into practice solutions that contribute to rebuilding your home country
- Plan and facilitate workshops independently, both in your diaspora community and back home
Course Modules
The course is made up of three interconnected modules:
- Dialogue for Social Cohesion - Methods for bringing communities together across conflict and division
- Ethical Leadership for Just Governance - Principles for running communities in a fair and transparent way
- Sustainable Livelihoods for Resilience - Building a stable foundation for life even in difficult circumstances
Eligibility
You can apply if you meet all of the following criteria:
- You have held refugee status for at least 5 years
- You can speak and write in English
- You have access to a device (laptop, tablet, or smartphone) that allows you to join online sessions
- You are actively involved in volunteering or community contribution at a local, national, or international level
