The Human Library Awareness Project is a peace-building activity where refugees become “books” and have real conversations with readers. It is run by MAP (Migration to Asia Peace), with the goal of reducing prejudice against refugees and deepening understanding across Korean society.
About the Project
In 2021, MAP ran the Human Library project in both in-person and online formats, reaching 2,036 readers across 14 cities nationwide. It has since become one of MAP’s flagship programs for promoting refugee rights and building appreciation for diversity.
The project will continue, with the ongoing aim of raising awareness about refugee issues throughout Korean society.
