Korea Polytechnic University’s Daegu Campus is recruiting students for free vocational training courses aimed at job seekers with migration backgrounds. You can choose between two tracks: Basic Electronic Circuit Repair or Basic Biopharmaceuticals. Tuition is fully covered by government funding, and you can also receive a monthly training allowance while you attend.

Who Can Apply
Anyone aged 15 or older with a migration background who is looking for work may apply, provided they hold one of the following statuses:
- Marriage migrants and their children
- Multicultural families
- Mid-entry children (children who moved to Korea after spending their early years abroad)
- North Korean defectors
- Recognised refugees
- Overseas Koreans with F-4 visa status
- Permanent residents (F-5 visa)
- Sakhalin Koreans
Who cannot apply: People on humanitarian stay status (G-1-6) and asylum seekers (those whose refugee applications are still being reviewed) are not eligible for this programme.
Course Options
Basic Electronic Circuit Repair (20 places)
You will learn the fundamentals of electrical and electronic theory, then practise diagnosing faults and repairing electronic devices.

- Fault diagnosis and electronic device repair
Basic Biopharmaceuticals (20 places)
You will learn foundational biotechnology skills used in pharmaceutical manufacturing.
- Bioculture techniques and microbiology experiments
- Cell culture practice and basic biotechnology skills
Shared Classes
Both tracks include the following classes together:

Tuition and Training Allowance
- Tuition: Completely free. The full cost is covered by government funding; you pay nothing.
- Training allowance: If you attend diligently, you can receive a monthly training allowance. On any day you attend for 5 hours or more, you receive 5,800 won for that day, up to a maximum of 116,000 won per month. You must maintain an attendance rate of at least 80% in a given month to receive the allowance.
